As I write the final chapter of the BLUEHOLME™ Compleat Rules it is becoming clear that the sample Underworld, Wilderness and Realm sections are becoming a little too big for the book. Well, no matter, and easily solved. While the book still contains all the rules and guidelines for referees designing their first campaign setting, BH1: The Shrine of Sobek, will be a (free) stand-alone module featuring a step-by-step example of those rules in practice. The contents of the latter as of this moment feature a small beginner’s Underworld maze, a campaign map and a section of the Wilderness between the Shrine and the character’s home base, and the base itself: Blueholme, a small frontier port town at the north-western edge of the Realm.
Wow! It’s growing arms and legs…
…and all for free?!?
The module will be free, yes. In a way it’s part of the rulebook, but I don’t want to burden the latter with something that will not be regularly referred to. Especially for the eventual print edition I want to keep the core rulebook to somewhere around 100 pages.
Best of luck!
Thanks. 🙂
