It is time to provide a slightly more accurate timetable for the BLUEHOLME™ Compleat Rules. I must apologise in advance – updates to programme are rarely of the type that gets the product into your hands sooner than expected, and this one is no exception. A couple or three Real Life™ developments are interfering with the plan for an Easter 2014 release of the Compleat Rules. But do not despair! Allow me to elucidate:

  1. The New Zealand Road Trip. I really have no excuse for overlooking this one, as I booked the tickets to WoW a year ago. No, not that WoW, I mean Warbirds over Wanaka, handily timed to coincide with Easter. Oh, and my 20th wedding anniversary. No, no excuse at all there.
  2. The Teaching Gig. Okay, this was somewhat – if not entirely – unexpected. The trouble with part-time tutoring is that, while the pay may be part time, the time is decidedly not part-time. And the fact that I have to devote less time to my full-time job does not alter the fact that I have to get pretty much the same amount of work done in that time. So, weeknights are not an option for game writing at the moment.
  3. Buying an Apartment. Now, this really was unplanned so I cannot be blamed in any way for the resulting impact on my writing schedule. I blame the economy.

Now that all the feeble excuses are out of the way, let’s get down to what this means for BLUEHOLME™. The Artwork Indigogo will be “go” in early May2014. There, that wasn’t so bad, was it? Just a bit later than planned. The key point is that I want the semester to be more-or-less over before then, as everyone’s experience with crowdfunding is that they require a lot of time to manage and promote, so I need to be able to at least check up on it on a daily basis.

Of course, when it does kick off, I hope to rely on your kind participation in spreading the word!
